- Abstract
- Just 150 years ago, the Alpine population was only half as large as it is today. While some, especially peripheral, areas in the Alps are becoming increasingly depopulated, the cities and their surroundings are experiencing an increasing influx of people. In order to understand the decisive influencing factors, the labour market, population development and the services available in the Alpine region must be examined. The present report makes a contribution to this.
